Clients getting into the Christmas Spirit
Recently, our CEO Michael and COO Vincent visited LDS clients who reside in the Barossa Valley, to catch up with clients and their families.
RIV house welcomed them both to a Christmas afternoon tea. It was lovely having the families who were able to attend come together for some great food, laughs and to celebrate the Christmas joy.
At our Hillcrest site, the group put on a fantastic Christmas BBQ dinner, of which they not only celebrated with their neighbouring SIL homes but others from our community too. Keith is pictured cooking for the masses, and everyone having a go at cooking and serving food for each other. Family members joined in on the fun, catching up with old friends and meeting new faces. What a fantastic afternoon for our North-Eastern community.
Many of our clients have been loving the Christmas events in the past week whether at home or out in the community. Here are some: Carol and Elizabeth loved their trip to Carrick Hill to participate in the Christmas Mouse Hunt; Clients from Shimron House enjoyed the 9th Avenue St Peters Christmas lights and carols; Rocco at Victoria Square Christmas markets and music shows; Carol, Elizabeth and Sam going to Edwardstown Baptist Church Service; Spring House made some beautiful Christmas cards thanks to a gifted card-making set; DOR House and Shimron House both held Christmas BBQ lunches recently for clients and families; and we see Paul, Mark and Christina at St. John Ambulance Carols with Candlelight at Elder Park. We love how much fun and how involved clients are getting in the spirit of Christmas!
