Between 1838 and 1839 up to six hundred Lutherans arrived in South Australia. The first established Lutheran community was based in the Barossa village in 1843. In 1966, the present Lutheran Church of Australia was formed. The beliefs that the early-settler Lutherans brought with them based on God’s love through Jesus Christ, mission outreach and Christian education continue to this day.
Lutheran Disability Services has long and valued partnerships with Lutheran churches across South Australia.
