LDS is not just a service provider; we believe in our clients, and we care about them.

About us

Lutheran Disability Services (LDS) was formed in 1986 to provide a home for five people living with disability. Their families came together to lease Shimron House in Unley … and LDS was born.

Throughout the intervening years, LDS has grown, as more and more clients and families want to experience the unique service provided by the team within a Christian, high-moral environment where our clients are at the centre of everything we do.

We work closely with clients’ families, advocates and nominees through every stage of LDS supports. We are committed to consultation, communication and partnership with all those we serve.

Today LDS provides services for over 75 people living with disability through independent individually living, specialist disability accommodation and community participation programs.

LDS is not just a service provider; we believe in our clients, and we care about them.
