Services

Lutheran Disability Services (LDS) supports people with disability and their families with accommodation support (including independent living) and community participation. We support people to connect to their community, learn new skills, increase independence and access accommodation support across metro Adelaide and in the Barossa.

Our support staff are passionate about helping people to identify and achieve their goals, connect to their faith and build new friendships through positive engagement in a client-centred way.

Our skill set is providing supports to clients with an intellectual disability, acquired brain injury along with other disabilities. Our team strives to support optimal daily living for each person, as well as inclusive involvement and meaningful participation in the community. It is important to us to support our clients to achieve their goals towards their best quality of life.

Families, advocates and support people are important to LDS as well. We commit to communicate with you, involve you with our activities and to engage with you so that we can provide the best possible care and support to your loved one (subject to privacy and orders). Together we can help to create happy, vibrant homes that bring the best out of our clients so that they can achieve their life goals.

Our model of supports (below) demonstrates our committment to quality supports across our organisation.

  • Supported Independent Living (SIL)

Supported Independent Living enables our clients to live the life that they want to live independently. Through LDS’s unique client-matching process, we can help find the ideal housemate for you, helping to create your happy home.

  • Individualised Living Options (ILO)

An ILO is a choice of in-home supports that is tailored to the individual. ILO’s are designed with a person-centered approach so that you can live in a dwelling of your choice and live the life you want to live. LDS can help you to explore ILO options and if it is right for you.

  • In-Home Support

We assist clients who live independently in their own home with personal care, daily activities and participating in the community. Minimum shift hours apply for this service.

  • Community Participation

Our clients love getting out into the community, enjoying being a part of everything that is happening in Adelaide and beyond. LDS has developed programs with other like-minded community organisations to help bring communities together. And you, too, can be a part of this. Minimum shift hours apply for this service.
