A big hello to the LDS Community.

I’ve been in the role now for nearly a month now and it has been great to get out a meet a number of you and our clients over the past few weeks.

Since commencing in the role my primary focus has been to connect with families, clients and staff.  In my short three weeks I have met with the DOR, SHIM, ALD and RIV clients, families and staff.  Thank you to everyone for opening up your home and letting me know how we are going as an organisation.

Other things we have been working on including finalising our year end (we have achieved our surplus budget), reviewing our strategy with the Managers and getting prepared to start on our new property strategy.  We have a good pipeline of new projects in Tanunda and the city that we are currently working on.  I will have some more updates for our community in the near future.

We have also been focussing on the sustainability of LDS and how we can continue to develop our people, through developing new products, creating new homes and developing our new marketing creative.

Recently someone said to me that LDS helps clients to get more because our clients deserve it.  I also think that this is also God’s plan for our organisation – to give back more to our entire community because everyone we serve deserves it.
